The big day is almost here! The Beard is set to make its broadcast premiere next weekend as part of CBC's Short Film Face Off! Now in its third season on national television, CBC's Short Film Face Off consists of short films from across Canada competing against one another. The Beard will screen as part of the first episode, airing across Canada on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 7:00 pm (8:00 pm - Maritimes / 8:30 pm - Newfoundland). The short film will become available for online viewing shortly after, and Canadian audiences will be able to vote on the final three films from the competition on August 31/Sept 1, 2013!

Written and directed by Yaz Rabadi, The Beard tells the story of an elderly Sikh (Sam Moses) who has been victimized as a result of his racial appearance, and how he struggles to deal with his given circumstances in the aftermath of the violent attack.
