Mumbai's Mid-Day Talks with Yaz Rabadi about 'The Beard', Prejudice & Violence

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of speaking with Mumbai's Mid-Day about my body of work, with special emphasis being placed on The Beard.  What resulted was a discussion covering not only cinema, but the larger themes explored in The Beard, including racism, violence and the weighing of fear against freedom.  You can check out the interview here. The Beard can be seen next competing as part of CBC's Short Film Face Off!  The show will air August 17, 2013, and the film will be available for public online viewing shortly thereafter.

Written and directed by Yaz Rabadi, The Beard tells the story of an elderly Sikh (Sam Moses) who has been victimized as a result of his racial appearance, and how he struggles to deal with his given circumstances in the aftermath of the violent attack.
